My name is Kathy Gehrt.  I created this site to share my passion for lavender. I am a writer, a gardener, a cook, a knitter, a community leader, a mom and a grandmother. 

My home on the internet is intended to celebrate lavender.  My real home is in Seattle, Washington where we are blessed with an abundance of lavender.

Deciding that 25 years as a corporate executive was enough, I have embarked on a second career as a free-lance lifestyle and culinary commentator.
